Allison serves as principal flute for The COT and has been with the orchestra for 20 years. She has also performed with such notable organizations as the NC Symphony, the Mallarme Chamber Players, the Charlotte Symphony and Opera Carolina.

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Allison received her musical training at the University of Texas at Austin and Northwestern University. She is a nurse practitioner in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Duke University Medical Center.
