David has been performing with The COT since 1999, where he serves as principal trumpet. An accomplished performer, David has worked with the Tar River Orchestra, the Tar River Symphonic Band, the Central Park Band, as well as the Durham and Raleigh Symphonies.

A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, David is director of fine arts at Ravenscroft School and adjunct professor of trumpet at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He holds a Doctor of Music from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Music in Education from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Master of Science in Education from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois.
