Meet the Durham Fellows

2024-25 Durham Fellows

Timothy Parham, violin
Tim grew up in the Dallas Fort-Worth area, and started studying violin at the age of five. He received degrees from Ithaca College in New York and from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Tim currently holds a position with the Charleston Symphony as a member of the CSO Inclusion Fellowship.

Jose Oléa Vico, violin
Jose is a recent graduate of University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees under the tutelage of Kevin Lawrence. He played with The COT as an NC Kenan Fellow for the 2022-23 season, and teaches at Separk Music Co. and UNCSA Community Music School.

Julius Adams, viola
Chicago native Julius Adams joined The COT after a year of performing as section member of the Kansas City Symphony. He earned a Master of Music at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati and an undergraduate degree in music performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Beideth Briceño, cello
Beideth Briceño was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She started playing cello at the age of 11 in the “El Sistema” orchestra in Venezuela. She obtained her bachelor's degree in cello performance with distinction from Association Royal College, while at the same time earning her law degree from Santa María University. She earned a master’s in cello performance at Duquesne University in Pittsburg.
