About This Program

The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle (COT) launches its 2025-26 Signature Series with Shall We Dance? A program where rhythm, romance, and revelry collide! Begin the evening with Eric Korngold’s dazzling Dance in the Old Style, a whimsical tribute to bygone elegance, followed by the haunting beauty of Maurice Ravel’s Pavane, — evoking a slow, graceful, and courtly dance. Be part of history with the North Carolina premiere of Matthew Browne’s visionary I Have Seen the Future. Designed like a 1960s science fiction anthology, each movement is inspired by historical writings on artificial intelligence and robotics. Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3 “Scottish” brings the night to a dramatic close, taking you on a sonic journey through misty highlands and stormy passions. This is one concert that promises to move the heart, body, and soul!
